Two-Vehicle Accident Leaves One Injured

Spencer, IA (northwestiowanow.com) – A two-vehicle accident occurred early this morning at the intersection of 2nd Avenue West and West 1st Street, with one of the vehicles crashing into a nearby house. The incident was reported at 8:08 am, and emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene.

Spencer Fire Department, along with the Spencer Police Department, and an ambulance from Spencer Hospital, arrived on the scene at 8:11 am. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found one vehicle had collided with a house, while the other was involved in the crash but not as significantly damaged.

Firefighter and paramedics quickly assessed the situation, focusing on a patient who was experiencing leg pain. Spencer Hospital Ambulance took over patient care and transported the injured individual to the hospital. In addition, emergency responders worked to clean up a fluid spill on the roadway caused by the crash.

Authorities are advising drivers to be cautious when approaching intersections, especially in the aftermath of this morning’s incident. No further details have been released about the cause of the accident or the extent of the injured individual’s condition.
