Wildcats Sweep the Western Christian Invite

Hull, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Cherokee, Okoboji, and Sheldon competed at the Western Christian Invite in Hull on Monday.

Cherokee’s Blake Lovell took 1st in the Boys Shot Put with a toss of 54’9”.

Kylie Robinson of Sheldon took 1st in the Girls 3000m Run with a time of 12:52.95.

The Cherokee Boys 4x800m Relay team of Mizner-Fundermann, Scherbring, Leyva-Cedeno, and Stowater clocked 8:41.53 to take 1st.

Reinert, Valentin, Hyndman, and Woodall teamed up for a time of 4:35.4 to win the Girls 1600m Distance Medley Relay for the Braves.

Sheldon’s Boys 1600m Distance Medley Relay team of Kamstra, Jager, Brouwer, and Vermeer took 1st with a time of 3:47.13.

Jaxson Paulsrud of Cherokee took 1st in the Boys 400m Run with a time of 51.74 seconds.

Cherokee’s Payton Reinert won the 100m Hurdles, clocking 16.73 seconds.

The Braves took the top 2 spots in the 800m Run with Grace Woodall winning with a time of 2:34.33 and Kenda Smith 2nd at 2:35.5.

In the Boys 200m Dash, Owen Brouwer of Sheldon won at 23.16 seconds.

The Orabs picked up a win via Malakai Vermeer in the Boys 1600m Run with a time of 4:47.82.

Sheldon’s team of Brouwer, Keizer, Schaeffer, and Vermeer combined for a 1st place 4x400m Relay time of 3:38.13.
